Edit: 3 hours after creating my reply an article came to my attention. Hot water is also a culprit in the shrinkage of fabrics. Well the hoodie is always better if the temperature is too low, as you can cover your head, keep your head and legs warm helps fight the cold. White spots from chlorine bleach? Or white spots from too much detergent or ineffective rinse cycle. If it is detergent, try rewashing it without soap. if it from bleach and the color is gone from the material, it cannot be reversed. If it is dark, you could try a permanent marker to hide the damage. My dog is a 25 lb white Bichon Frise’/Maltese mix, 16 yr old & hates being dirty! But she loves playing outside, chasing squirrels and running her homemade obstacle course. I bathe her in the bathtub once a month using doggie shampoo.
